Here's another sight in Dubai. A relatively new tourist destination, Dubai has gained in popularity in the last 7 years. It is esentially a desert city with superb infrastructure, liberal policies and excellent tourist amenities. Just 5 hrs from Europe and 3 hrs from most parts of Asia, Dubai makes a great short break for Shopping, Partying, Sunbathing, Fine Dining, Sporting Events and even a few Sinful Pleasures. It is a city of superlatives. For the fastest, biggest, tallest, largest and highest, Dubai is the destination. This is called Wild Wadi and of course, this is where the gas/oil money is going. This is a weekly feature to show you what the money we have paid for oil has bought the people of Dubai. We have really 'pumped' up their economy. A lot of the construction here is simply unbelieveable.

This is going to be a regular feature on the blog. I want you people to see for yourself what a lot of the money you are paying for gas (oil, etc.) is going toward in the country of Dubai. It has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but has to be despised by the Western World. I guess one billion dollars to them is like a million to this country? That's what it seems. They do not care about how much this stuff costs. People, this is not something out of Star Wars or come computer-generated image. This is real. This stuff is really there. Google 'Dubai' sometime. You will be amazed (and pissed). I will have more on this city as time goes along. In the meantime, to see what is on the blog, look just below and 'click' on the word 'Dubai' and you'll see all I have posted for this.

This might just be 'Paradise' but none of us can afford going there, that's for sure.

Here you go. This is what our money from the oil bought for these people in Dubai.

It's one mile long and 670 feet tall.- It will have 12 lanes for traffic.- It will cost 817 million dollars.- The design has Sheikh Mohammed's official stamp of approval.- The bridge will carry more than 2,000 vehicles per hour in each direction.- A metro line will run across the middle.- Construction begins in March, with a slated completion date of 2012. Damm piece of shit!!

From the land where artificial islands arranged in the shape of the world located and where the world's only seven-star hotel existed, come the home to the largest and tallest arch bridge ever. It will be completed in 2012, according to the source. Nothing is impossible in Dubai, at least architecturally. This money is NOTHING to them; but it is to us..even now at $4.61 a pop!!!
